HOMETOWN HANDYMAN HUB

Policies

Updated October 15, 2026.

Hometown Handyman Hub is currently a pilot for preparing home projects and account profiles. You can organize tasks, attach photos, keep work on your device and explicitly save reviewed projects to your private homeowner account. Contractors can prepare private service profiles and portfolios. Homeowners can deliberately choose the display name and optional general city and bio shown on their public profile.

Privacy and data

Read Privacy for what the pilot stores, what is public, how browser storage differs from an account save, and the current limits on retention and deletion controls.

Community expectations

Read the Community guidelines for honest profiles, permission to use photos, respect for other people and responsible project preparation.

Current service limits

Contractors can deliberately publish an exact reviewed service profile and work pair after consent and Hometown review. Editing or withdrawing revokes public text and preview reads while private originals remain. Project posting, invitations, bidding, hiring and payments remain unavailable. Saving a draft does not send an invitation, book a contractor or collect a payment. Booking, payment, refund and payout rules are not part of this pilot. These pages describe current practices and expectations; they are not transaction terms for an operating marketplace.
