HOMETOWN HANDYMAN HUB

A clearer start for home projects.

Hometown Handyman Hub is a neighborhood home-service marketplace being built for homeowners, real estate investors and home-service professionals in Austin and the Texas Hill Country.

Good neighbors. Great handymen. Better deals.

A useful conversation starts with a clear description of the work. Hometown helps you turn a repair list into editable tasks and attach before photos, so the details stay together while you prepare a project.

Austin and the Texas Hill Country are our intended market. This is an early pilot, and that focus does not mean a professional is available in every neighborhood.

What you can do today

  • On Home, choose Review tasks, edit the tasks, add photos and the project city or ZIP, then choose Save project. Follow the account and ownership confirmations and wait for the saved confirmation.
  • Find saved work under My Account and My Projects. Choose Open project to continue. Save and confirm your current work before choosing Plan another project.
  • Contractors can prepare a private service profile and portfolio, confirm photo rights and public-sharing consent, request Hometown review and explicitly publish the reviewed work to Contractor Search. Review alone does not publish or verify credentials.

Verified homeowners can review and explicitly post supported cabinet hardware adjustment, freestanding furniture assembly and simple surface cleaning projects after confirming rights and public-sharing consent. Review the public tasks, selected processed photos, general area and homeowner profile link before choosing Post project. Saving alone does not post. Hazardous, trade-specific, unknown or mixed work stays held; no human-clearance service is available through this flow.

Invitations, bids, hiring, scheduling and payments remain unavailable. A published portfolio or posted project does not guarantee availability, leads, a booking or a completed job.

Examples with a clear label

The fictional pilot profiles and before-and-after examples illustrate the kinds of work you can describe. They are not evidence of real Hometown jobs, available contractors or customer reviews.

Suggested tasks are a starting point for your review. A qualified professional should confirm the scope and any hazardous or trade-specific work.
